Competition compound: M-05+ is not intended as a daily-driver comfort pad. It trades low dust, low noise, and cold-stop refinement for repeatability under heat.

Honest Tradeoffs
- Higher brake dust than street pads
- Audible operating noise is normal, especially when cold
- Faster wear of pads and rotors versus mild street compounds
- Requires warm-up for full bite; not ideal for cold daily commutes
Actual dust, noise, and wear depend on vehicle weight, rotor condition, cooling, driving style, and operating temperature.
Bedding Procedure
- Install on clean, true rotors. New rotors should be cleaned of preservative oil before first use.
- Perform 6–10 moderate stops from approximately 60 to 20 mph with light cooling between stops, allowing the pad to come up to temperature gradually.
- Perform 2–3 harder stops from higher speed without coming to a complete stop, helping lay an even transfer layer.
- Cool the system fully before parking. Avoid holding the brake pedal at a stop while rotors are hot.
Skipping bedding is one of the most common causes of judder, uneven deposits, and inconsistent bite.
Rotor Compatibility
M-05+ works with quality cast-iron performance rotors, including slotted and two-piece floating designs. Pair with rotors in good metallurgical and thermal condition. Replace or resurface heavily glazed, deeply grooved, cracked, or heat-damaged rotors before installing a fresh set of pads.
Realistic Expectations
- Street: Usable for the drive to the track, but not optimized for cold stops, low noise, or low-dust commuting.
- Track / Endurance: Strongest in sustained heat, repeated heavy braking, and long stints.
- Rally: Stable response across mixed grip, changing surface temperature, and repeated hard brake events.
Installation Notes
- Inspect rotor condition before installation.
- Clean pad abutment areas and confirm free pad movement in the caliper.
- Check caliper pistons, seals, dust boots, and guide hardware before installing new pads.
- Use fresh high-temperature brake fluid for track, rally, and endurance use.
- After bedding, inspect pad contact, rotor surface condition, and hardware security before hard use.
Safety: Competition brake pads should be installed and inspected by a qualified technician. Confirm pad shape, compound, caliper fitment, and rotor compatibility before driving.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I daily drive M-05+ pads?
You can drive them on the street when needed, but it is not recommended as a daily-driver pad. Cold bite is reduced, noise and dust are higher, and wear on pads and rotors is faster than a street compound.
Do I need to bed M-05+ pads?
Yes. Proper bedding builds an even transfer layer on the rotor and is required for consistent bite, modulation, and pedal feel.
Will M-05+ work with my existing rotors?
Yes, if your rotors are true, free of deep grooves, and not heavily glazed, cracked, or heat-damaged. For best results, install M-05+ on fresh or properly resurfaced cast-iron performance rotors.
How much noise and dust should I expect?
Expect more noise and dust than a street pad. Some squeal, especially when cold, and elevated dust output are normal for a competition friction compound.
Is M-05+ suitable for rally stages?
Yes. The compound is designed to handle heat cycles, surface changes, and repeated heavy braking typical of stage, tarmac, and mixed-surface rally use.

“I got this Tissot PRX for my cousin’s birthday and bro fell in LOVE instantly.
This thing keeps time like a beast, never slows down, never lags. Automatic movement, so no batteries, no drama.
Durability? Stupid good. You can hit it, bump it, live life rough, it still looks box fresh.
Size wise it was almost perfect. I just had to remove two links, nothing big.
It’s light, functional, comfortable, doesn’t weigh you down, doesn’t get in the way but more importantly I can say this watch is in everyone’s eyesight when we wear it. Cause of course I had to get another one!
Basically. I gave him a very nice piece as a gift, and now he’s walking around like he owns Switzerland.

Excellent value for an automatic watch, keeps VERY good time.

I've only had the watch for a day but wanted to leave a quick review on it to share a couple of notes.
So far it keeps VERY good time, better than any of the automatics I own (including a Rolex Submariner, Tag Heuer Aquaracer, Tag Heuer Formula One, and several other sub $1k watches). I set it to an atomic time app on my phone yesterday and 24 hours later it's still SPOT on - hasn't gained/lost even a 1/10 of a second. I was shocked to see it's kept PERFECT time for the last day, I'm really blown away so far. I've worn it the entire time, we'll see how well it keeps time while being stored in a winder.
This picture shown is the watch with a 22mm leather band on it, fit's without any issues (just need to squeeze in the leather a tad). I doubt it would work with a 22mm metal bracelet, but leather works great. Just FYI since the 21mm lug width is kind of odd.
The face isn't quite a lustrious as the images make it look, but it's still a great-looking watch. For a sub $1000 automatic you can't go wrong, this is a fantastic watch at a great price. It'll be my daily driver for some time I'm sure. If I have any issues in the future I'll update the review.
