This vintage 1960s Ampeg B-15N bass combo amplifier features the iconic flip-top Portaflex cabinet, a design that allows the all-tube head to be inverted and secured within the speaker enclosure for easy transport. Renowned for its warm, round, and punchy bass tone, the B-15N's articulate midrange and smooth sustain have made it a favored amplifier across diverse musical genres and decades. Its distinctive "thump" and ability to produce a musical overdrive when pushed have been instrumental in countless recordings and live performances, embraced by legendary bassists such as Bill Wyman, John Paul Jones, and the Motown great, James Jamerson.

This 60's Ampeg B-15N Fliptop Amplifier is in very good condition. There is a tear on the top of the cabinet in the Tolex. There is minor scratching throughout and a chip in the coat of the paint over the transformers.
