Het mooiste van het terroir van Mendoza gevangen in een glas. Deze heerlijke blendwijn bestaande uit Malbec, Bonarda en Petit Verdot is een fruitige wijn met veel elegantie en diepgang. De wijnmakers van Kaiken weten precies wat de druiven nodig hebben en volgende het vinificatieproces op de voet. Het Argentijnse wijnhuis Kaiken werd in 2002 opgericht door wijnproducent Aurelio Montes. In totaal beschikken ze over drie wijngaarden in Mendoza en één in Salta. Deze variëren sterk in hoogte en weersomstandigheden. Het geeft Kaiken de mogelijkheid om verschillende druivenrassen te verbouwen en tot mooie kwaliteitswijnen te komen. De naam Kaiken komt van de Caiquen, een wilde gans die het Andesgebergte oversteekt van Chili naar Argentinië. Montes maakte vaak dezelfde vlucht en omdat hij geregeld de ganzen heen en weer zag vliegen was de naam voor het wijnhuis snel geboren. De Malbec, Bonarda en Petit Verdor druiven staan aangeplant op Los Chacayes in de Uco Valley. Op een hoogte van zo’n 1250 meter boven zeeniveau genieten de druiven van het beste klimaat, waarbij warme dagen worden afgewisseld door koele nachten. De druiven kunnen gelijkmatig rijpen en worden bij optimale rijpheid pas met de hand geoogst. Na een zorgvuldig vinificatieproces rijpt de wijn nog enkele maanden voordat deze op de markt wordt gebracht.De fruitige tonen van Kaiken Terroir Series MALBEC Bonarda Petit Verdot
De druiven staan aangeplant op wat hoger gelegen wijngaarden. Hierdoor krijgt deze wijn net iets meer elegantie en diepgang. In de geur fruitige tonen met overheersend pruimen, wat wordt aangevuld met specerijen. In de smaak komen de warme tonen van de Malbec duidelijk naar voren, ondersteund door de fruitige tonen van de Petit Verdot en de zachte smaak van Bonarda. 5 Stars with 1 Call-Out….
SOLID built like a tank! Really like the all-metal design. No vibration on the road and minimal if any off road, extremely stable. 360 adjustability = endless options on positioning your phone. Overall a good buy considering fit, form and functionality as compared to the less expensive composite holders that shake move and rattle (Drives me nuts). The ONLY negative…. I have a pro max iphone with a case and there’s no way one-handed operation works to insert and remove the phone into the holder. You can use one hand to adjust the angle and positioning but not otherwise. An OFI for OffRoam, incorporate a tension adjustment into the design for ease of insertion and removal of the phone (without breaking the bank). Taking all things into consideration the pros far outweigh the cons! Best unit out there for Gen 3 Tacoma owners.

Smash or Pass? ….Smash.
The smash phone mount did the trick. There was never a good or convenient place to put my phone in the 4-runner. This piece of kit fixed the issue nicely. Fits in the little storage spot tightly with a spring loaded friction mount. The hardware to manipulate the holder so you can customize your preference is made of metal so it will be durable and stable and bc you can change it around to fit your needs it has a lot of functionality. A little pricey but a good add-on for the rig.

Get the stubby, not the standard
This is a very nice mount. I strongly recommend the stubby version over the standard, mostly because you can move the phone holder around to help keep it visible and out of the way. As a taller guy, the standard mount would be hitting my knee when I get in the vehicle, but the stubby mount allows me to move it further towards the passenger side, which also keeps my cup holder usable.
