Si presenta di colore rosso austero e pieno, impenetrabile, al naso è intenso e di grande complessità, si apre con frutti rossi, marasca, ribes e lampone, e delicate note di tabacco dolce e cacao, e ancora erbe officinali. In bocca la struttura sorprende per la sua presenza, è un vino di corpo, il tannino è ricco ma armonico. Un vino lungo dal piacevolissimo retrogusto fruttato.Il sagrantino è un vitigno autoctono tra i più antichi dell'Umbria, “un cavallo selvaggio che va conosciuto e domato con una corretta pratica viticola, in modo che possa parlare un linguaggio armonico ed equilibrato”. La DOC a Montefalco fu riconosciuta nel 1979 anche grazie all’opera di Giorgio Lungarotti, resta quindi facile da immaginare l'investimento e la cura messi dall'azienda per realizzare questo bel Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, un vino intenso nel corpo, nei profumi e negli aromi, di lunghezza impareggiabile e profonda eleganza.
Si esalta con arrosti, cacciagione e selvaggina alla ghiotta. Da provare con palombacci all’umbra.

Big Investment for a Lifetime of Quality

Several reviews mentioned a smell lingering with the sheepskin even after being unpacked a few days. I did notice the smell when I unpacked it, but I would expect a slight odor from such an item. It was not overpowering and is completely gone after one month of having it laid out on a chest in our bedroom. It is very functional, can be sat on, knelt on, etc, but is easily brushed off and looks great! The quality is very good…someone in my family is on it every night, and we have experienced no shedding whatsoever.
Although the price is a big investment initially, I believe the quality is worthy. We plan to enjoy this beautiful sheepskin for a lifetime!

Really soft & my dog loves it. I used it as a throw over my couch for decor. The smell when I took it out of the package was probably one of the worst smells I’ve ever smelled. Like old broccoli or something. I left it outside to air out all day and that was gone.

Not premium quality! I've seen actual authentic ones before.

Despite all the positive reviews, I believe this product is subpar. There are genuine sheep skin Hydes but this product is NOT it. There is no leather embossing showing authenticity, and many signs of strong chemical treatment. Smell is lingering and I've aired them for over two days. Not very comfortable since the fur is very thick and coarse, you would expect it to be softer for the price as well. Not premium quality. I ordered this for my children to sleep on at long evening Church services but now I will look to more niche sellers for a higher quality product.
