Château Couronneau dateert uit de XVde eeuw gezien de architectuur, de vier torens, de schietgaten en de brede gracht. De familie de Cartier, afstammelingen van de bekende ontdekker van Canada, woonden meer dan 3 eeuwen op dit kasteel. 

De wijngaarden liggen in Ligueux op 5 km afstand van Sainte Foy la Grande. De percelen liggen op een hoogte van 180 m en beslaan 3 ha van het totale wijngaardoppervlak van ruim 38 ha. Bodem van klei en kalk, gemiddelde plantdichtheid van 5.000 stokken per ha
