The boot contains four Velcro fasteners with elastic. Three closures fix the boot around the leg and the fourth goes under the fetlock for extra support.

I've ordered two packs of these now for lunch. Over the course of 2 years. Works very well. Never had a fork break. Biggest complaint with other brands is I've had forks break.
