Domein
Op de zonnige zuidhellingen van de Louwberg in Maastricht ligt de Apostelhoeve, het oudste en één van de grootste wijndomeinen van Nederland. Al drie generaties lang wordt hier met passie en vakmanschap wijn verbouwd door de familie Hulst. Van huis uit had de familie een fruitteeltbedrijf, maar in 1970 besloot Hugo Hulst om een gedeelte van zijn fruitbomen te vervangen door 700 wijnstokken. Inmiddels bestaat de Apostelhoeve uit 20 hectare en produceren ze gemiddeld 180.000 flessen witte- en mousserende wijn per jaar. Apostelhoeve werkt uitsluitend met klassieke druivenrassen. Dankzij de unieke mergelbodem en het milde Zuid-Limburgse klimaat ontwikkelen de wijnen van de Apostelhoeve een fris, mineraal en verfijnd karakter.

Oogst
Oogstjaar 2022 was uitzonderlijk – een jaar met optimale rijpingscondities, wat resulteerde in een mousserende wijn met diepgang, finesse en een ongekende balans. Deze wijn belichaamt niet alleen vakmanschap, maar ook de rijke historie van zijn terroir. Een unieke expressie van de Limburgse wijnbouw, perfect om bijzondere momenten mee te vieren.

Vinificatie
De Cuvée St. Pieter Brut is een verfijnde blend van Chardonnay en Pinot Noir, met een rijping van 24 maanden sur latte, wat zorgt voor een prachtig gelaagde smaakbeleving.

Best Tennis Balls Ever

Admittedly, I haven't had these for very long, received on Jan 7 and today is Jan 19., 2021, only 12 days. But, we have a terrier mix who hasn't found a tennis ball she couldn't destroy given an hour or two. That is until now. Twelve Days later? She hasn't managed to destroy it at all. We have a puzzle cub that came with a ball inside it. It only took her a couple hours for the ball to rupture at the seam and another 10 minutes to completely destroy it beyond recognition. We put one of these balls in there and here we are over a week later. Not only has she not destroyed the ball but she hasn't been able to get this one out. She looks so silly trying to carry the ball inside the cube. It's hilarious. Anyway, I digress. I would totally recommend this toy for an yone who has a dog that lives to play fetch bit keeps destroying the balls. By the way, Update: Jan 31, 2021 and still going strong. No signs of damage.

My Dog Dreams Of Squeaky Balls 🐶

My dog really loved these balls when I got them. It's a great variety of colors, the fabric is well-attached, and I LOVE that the squeaker is hidden under the fabric, reducing risk that it falls out and gets eaten by one of the dogs. The net carrying bag is a nice touch as well. Unfortunately, these balls do not hold up to much play. I have a medium-sized dog and he likes to mouth the ball when he catches it to squeak it. The squeaker broke on every single one of these within the first play session. Thankfully it stays contained in the sealed ball, but still, it would be nice if it lasted a *little* bit longer. Beyond the squeaker issue, my dog wears these out within a day or two of play. Keep in mind that he LOVES playing fetch and we will spend a good hour playing per night. Usually the fabric starts to detach and the ball will start breaking at the seam (the ball is two halves glued or sealed together). That may be the fault of the dog, though, since he does squeak these an awful lot while we play. Buying a stronger ball may not be an option because he enjoys the ones that are easier to squeak like these are! Overall I'm fairly happy, I just wish they lasted a little longer or cost a little less. 🐶
