This compact broadcast converter is designed to extend SDI signals over extremely long distances by converting electrical SDI into optical fiber and back again in real time. It operates bidirectionally, meaning SDI can be converted to fiber and fiber to SDI simultaneously, even when each direction uses a different video standard. This makes the device ideal for large venues, studios, OB trucks and campus‑wide installations where copper cabling is impractical or unreliable over long cable runs.
Support for full 12G‑SDI ensures compatibility with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60, including both Level A and Level B equipment. Automatic multi‑rate detection allows the converter to instantly adapt to incoming signals without manual configuration, reducing setup time and minimizing the risk of format mismatches. The internal reclocking circuitry helps maintain signal integrity across long distances, ensuring stable and reliable transmission even in demanding broadcast environments.
The optical interface is based on a standard SFP socket, allowing the use of widely available 3G, 6G or 12G‑SDI optical fiber modules depending on the required distance and format. By using the same low‑cost fiber cables commonly deployed in IT networks, SDI signals can be transported over distances of up to approximately 16 km, far exceeding the limits of traditional coaxial cabling. Embedded audio is carried transparently with support for up to 16 channels, preserving full program integrity throughout the conversion process.
Designed for reliability and ease of integration, the unit features a robust metal enclosure suitable for permanent installation or portable use. There are no user controls on the device itself, ensuring consistent operation once installed. Configuration and software updates can be performed via USB using Blackmagic utilities on macOS or Windows systems. Power is supplied by the included universal 12 V power supply with international socket adapters, and a cable tie point is provided to prevent accidental disconnection in critical setups.
By combining bidirectional operation, long‑distance optical transport and broad format support, this converter provides a simple and effective solution for extending SDI workflows into fiber‑based infrastructures without compromising broadcast quality.

Not worth the paper it’s printed on.
Format: Paperback
I can’t say that I was expecting such a slim volume on 10,000 years of Chinese culture to be a work of rigorous scholarship, but I also wasn’t expecting it to be quite *this* dreadful. It is badly written to the point of being unreadable, and it is clear that no one thought to edit the document before publication. I made it about twenty pages in before I had to put it down. The entire thing reads like an Anthropology 101 term paper written by a first semester college freshman who hasn’t quite figured out how to back up claims with evidence yet.

It all makes sense now
Format: Kindle
This book covers Ancient Chinese History, Starting from the Settlement at the Yellow River through the Xia, Shang, Zhou, and Qin Dynasties to the Han Dynasty. This should ring a bell for some folks as this is the period around the Yellow River shows the early development of man in this region.
Ancient Chinese history is a tapestry of remarkable achievements, cultural developments, and political transitions that unfolded over thousands of years. It all began with the settlement at the Yellow River, where early agricultural communities emerged around 5000 BCE. This period witnessed the gradual transition from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to settled farming communities, marking the foundation of Chinese civilization.
From this fertile ground, the Xia Dynasty rose in the 21st century BCE, establishing the first recorded dynasty in Chinese history. Although little written evidence remains, the Xia period laid the groundwork for future dynasties, fostering advancements in agriculture, irrigation systems, and early forms of government.
The subsequent Shang Dynasty (16th–11th century BCE) witnessed great cultural achievements, including the development of a complex writing system and the creation of magnificent bronze artworks. It was during this era that the concept of the Mandate of Heaven emerged, which stated that rulers' legitimacy depended on their ability to govern effectively.
Following the fall of the Shang Dynasty, the Zhou Dynasty (1046–256 BCE) emerged and introduced the feudal system, characterized by a decentralized government. This era saw the flourishing of philosophy, with notable thinkers like Confucius and Laozi influencing Chinese thought for centuries to come.
The Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE) unified China under the rule of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, bringing about remarkable political and administrative reforms. It standardized currency, measurements, and writing systems, and constructed the Great Wall of China. Although short-lived, the Qin Dynasty paved the way for the subsequent Han Dynasty.
The Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE) was a period of significant cultural and technological advancements. It expanded the empire's territorial reach, established the Silk Road, and embraced Confucianism as the official ideology. The Han Dynasty left a lasting legacy, shaping the Chinese state and society for centuries.
Through these pivotal dynasties, Ancient Chinese history witnessed the development of a rich and enduring civilization, with contributions that continue to influence the world today.
