The Blasted Wastes is a harsh and corrosive alien desert used as a prison world by nearby alien civilizations, where their worst criminals are abandoned with no chance of escape. While most sent to this desolate planet are either devoured by the lethal creatures lurking beneath the sand or succumb to the burning suns, sulfuric acid pools, and toxic Dark Stone dust storms, the survivors form ruthless warbands to scavenge for resources and alien treasures buried beneath the searing sands.

This Expansion introduces a new OtherWorld filled with alien horrors, Wasteland Scavengers, and perilous desert hazards. It includes a complete set of 18 Map Tiles for the Blasted Wastes, featuring an additional new 'Earth-based' world on the reverse side: The Canyons. The pack also contains all the cards needed for both worlds, 4 new Enemy Types (6 Wasteland Scavengers, 3 Sand Crabs, 3 Wasteland Warlords/Heavies, and 6 Tribal Ghost Warriors), and a brand new alien Barter Town for Heroes to visit in the Wastes.
