Theobald Wolfe Tone, leader of the United Irishmen and 1798 rebellion appeared in a play here with Mrs Martin.
The beauty and visual interest of this street lies in its tightness of space, and the fact that most of the original fabric of the medieval buildings have been preserved so well.
