In 1988 Rolex introduced the upgraded Day-Date 18238 that featured a double quickset function that allowed the wearer to independently change day and date. The 18238 from Rolex has a round, yellow gold case that is 36mm in diameter with a solid case back, sapphire crystal and a fluted yellow gold bezel. The dial is a champagne color with index hour markers, an instantaneous date window at 3-o-clock and the day at the 12-o-clock mark and Tritium hands. The 18238 is powered by the self-winding 3155 calibers with day-date functionality and a power reserve of 48 hours. The 18238 comes with a yellow gold three-piece Presidential link bracelet that is secured with a concealed fold-over crown clasp blending seamlessly into the bracelet. It has a water resistance of 100 meters (330 feet).
