Leather StropOur leather strop is made from a very strong piece of American saddle leather. This is a great sharpening and polishing tool for straight edge razors, knives and tools. Unlike honing or sharpening a blade, stropping the blade re aligns the indentations without removing any material. We use these strops daily in our own shop to keep our leather tools sharp. Our leather strop is made from a very strong piece of American saddle leather. This is a great sharpening and polishing tool for straight edge razors, knives and tools. Unlike honing or sharpening a blade, stropping the blade re-aligns the indentations without removing any material. We use these strops daily in our own shop to keep our leather tools sharp.
The strop is 2 inches (5 cm) wide and 26 inches (66 cm) long. There is a large loop for a handle at one end and a d-ring with a piece of leather cord at the other end for attaching to a barber chair, hook, etc. The natural, undyed leather will darken and gain a nice patina with use. American made.
