Designed for serious IT environments, the APC Netshelter SX enclosure delivers robust protection, flexible configuration, and streamlined access for rack-mounted equipment. This 42U enclosure with a 750mm width and a deep 1200mm footprint is ideal for data centers, server rooms, and edge deployments where space and airflow matter. The "without sides" design reduces barriers to cable routing and equipment maintenance, enabling technicians to reach the back of gear quickly and safely. The black powder-coated finish offers a clean, professional appearance that blends with modern data-center aesthetics while resisting daily wear from foot traffic and equipment handling. Built by APC, a trusted name in power protection and enclosure solutions, this model emphasizes modularity, security, and efficient cooling—critical in high-density rack environments. Whether you are mounting blade servers, network switches, storage arrays, or dense UPS systems, this enclosure provides a sturdy home that encourages tidy cable management, straightforward maintenance, and scalable growth. With adjustable mounting rails, you benefit from flexible equipment placement and easy reconfiguration as your IT needs evolve. The Netshelter SX series is widely adopted in enterprise IT, remote offices, and data-center-in-a-box scenarios because it balances robust mechanical design with accessibility and serviceability. In black, this enclosure not only hides the mess of cables behind a professional facade, it also fits seamlessly into established data-center palettes while remaining durable under the stress of daily use. The absence of side panels means air can circulate more freely in open-row deployments and technicians can service equipment from multiple angles without removing panels, a feature that can reduce downtime during maintenance windows. If you are outfitting a blade-server lab, a network operation center, or a multi-rack data hall, this 42U enclosure gives you ample room to grow while keeping everything organized.

  • 42U mounting capacity provides ample space for blade servers, storage, switches, and expansion cards while maintaining standard 19-inch rack compatibility for easy integration with existing infrastructure. The internal layout supports flexible stacking of equipment and efficient use of vertical space in busy data centers.
  • 750mm wide and 1200mm deep interior accommodates long equipment and offers flexible mounting options, with adjustable rails and rear access to simplify installation and service tasks. This depth is ideal for full-length servers, high-density switches, and riser-equipped devices.
  • Without sides design enables rapid access to equipment and simplified cable routing in open-row setups or in environments where side panels are not required, improving airflow and reducing cable congestion. This configuration is particularly beneficial for blade-server deployments and rapid maintenance cycles.
  • Durable black powder-coated steel construction with secure, lockable front door enhances security in shared data centers and protected server rooms, while providing lasting resilience in busy facilities. The finish resists scratches and fingerprints, helping maintain a professional look over time.
  • Integrated cable management features, ventilation-ready design, and compatibility with APC accessories (like cable managers, power distribution, and thermal management options) to help you tailor the enclosure to your exact needs and maintain clean, organized racks. The enclosure supports efficient airflow management and neat cable paths to optimize cooling performance.

Technical Details of APC Netshelter SX 42U 750mm Wide x 1200mm Deep Enclosure Without Sides Black

Technical specifications sourced from official product data are not provided in this description. For precise values including weight, door style, rail system compatibility, front-to-back clearance, maximum cable diameter, and mounting hardware, please refer to the manufacturer's specifications for your exact UPC or SKU from APC and the ec.synnex.com catalog. This section is intended to guide you toward the exact numbers you need for procurement and installation planning.

How to install APC Netshelter SX 42U 750mm Wide x 1200mm Deep Enclosure Without Sides Black

  • Step 1: Plan your layout by measuring floor space, ensuring access for maintenance and service teams, and identifying pathways for cable routing. Confirm that your location has adequate ventilation and meets any HVAC or fire-safety requirements.
  • Step 2: Unbox and inventory the enclosure and included accessories. Verify that you have the 42U mounting rails, frame panels, doors, and any hardware required for your installation. If sides are not included, ensure you have the necessary side panels if your configuration requires them in the future.
  • Step 3: Install the mounting rails and accessories according to the APC installation guide. Position rails at the correct mounting heights for your equipment, level the enclosure, and secure rails firmly to the frame to support heavy loads typical of blade servers and storage arrays.
  • Step 4: Position the enclosure in the designated space and anchor it to the floor or to a rack rail system as required by your facility's standards. Ensure proper grounding and weight distribution, and verify there is clear clearance for doors and cable entries.
  • Step 5: Install equipment inside the enclosure, beginning with the heaviest components to optimize weight balance. Route power and data cables through the integrated cable management paths, avoiding sharp bends and ensuring enough slack for serviceability. Close and lock the front door and verify that airflow remains unobstructed.
  • Step 6: Add accessories such as cable managers, PDUs, fans, or thermal management options as needed to optimize cooling and organization. If you anticipate future expansion, consider leaving space and selecting modular accessories that can be added without major rework.
  • Step 7: Perform a final inspection, test access to all equipment, verify cable routing, and ensure the enclosure does not impede air intake or exhaust. Run routine checks for stability and security before putting the system into production.

Nicest Bed Pillow Protectors I have found!
Size: Body
I have ordered these pillow protector cases multiple times for pillows that are extra thick or lofted as these seem to be very comfortable, durable, and really protect the pillow itself! They wash up well if there is any sort of stain. Nice bed pillows can be a real investment…it’s both easier to wash these protectors with my bed linens and more sanitary overall. Thin pillow protectors either wrinkle or fail to actually protect the pillow itself from whatever…dust mites, head lice, sweat, make up, skin care, spit up….be sure to follow the instructions for laundering and drying them and they will last a long time! My experience is these protectors keep my pillows from getting lumpy or bunching up, so promote a better night’s sleep!

This is definitely not your average pillow protector!
You have to see and feel this pillow protector to understand just how good it is (photos and videos just don't do it justice). It looks and feels like some sort of fancy premium luxury pillow case, but it's a zippered pillow protector! I always thought pillow protectors were just a simple white cotton zippered pillow case in order to add another layer in addition to the pillow case, but this pillow protector from COOP Home Goods completely blows me away. I just kept going, "Omg, are you kidding me? This is just a pillow protector?! Wow!" The only negative is, the zippered opening is too small. When I tried to put my brand new COOP pillow into it (I have the pillow that has approximately 15,000 reviews), it was very difficult. This was before I removed any of the filling for customization though, which I still needed to do. I finally got around to doing that and I probably removed about 1/3rd of the filling because I'm mostly a stomach sleeper, so I'm sure the pillow protector will be much easier to put on the next time I remove it, but I'm not going to remove it until I have to wash it because I don't want to be stuck trying to put it back on again! That's how annoying it was to put on. I'm keeping it though because I'm hoping it will mean I'll never have to wash the pillowcase or especially the pillow! That'd be awesome. I recently upgraded from a MyPillow Premium and I hated washing it (it was always a mini project, so I am hoping to be completely done with that). I contacted COOP about the small opening and they said, "We do have plans to change the zipper placement on our pillow protectors, however, production has not started and we do not have a firm date to provide you with at this time." They also reminded me that the pillow can be "bent and manipulated" (their words) into the pillow protector. See next paragraph though to understand why I didn't want to handle the pillow too much, otherwise I would've just done that instinctively. There is one more negative aspect that's worth mentioning, but it's due to a personal issue (there's nothing COOP can do about it). I have rough dry skin on my hands, and the material (40% Bamboo-derived Viscose Rayon, 60% Polyester) is rather 'catchy' on my hands. If you have rough dry skin and if you've ever tried to handle something made out of silk, you know what I'm talking about; you can't enjoy the silky smooth texture. This isn't anywhere near as bad as silk, but it's just bad enough that it's worth mentioning. I think it's due to the Bamboo-derived Viscose Rayon. The pillows are the same way for me due to the pillow case. That's probably what made the pillow case so difficult to put on because I was trying to be very careful not to get my skin flakes all over everything from just "manhandling" it, which is what I should've done and then just vacuumed it clean. heh I won't use lotion though because I don't like the idea of getting lotion on everything I touch every day, and it makes my hands sweat much easier - especially in the summer. So, I prefer to just deal with clean but rough dry hands. I guess another negative thing could be that it's not possible to just buy 1 pillow protector. These are 2-packs. I only needed 1 pillow protector and I only wanted 1. I would've gladly paid $15 for just 1. So anyway, beyond that, these pillow protectors truly have that "wow!" factor. They're exactly as advertised and more (because some things are only possible to know about by experiencing them for yourself).
