The versatile, PTZ camera incorporates a primary camera with a large 4/3" 20.89MP image sensor with a secondary 100° panoramic camera boasting a 1/1.8" Sony CMOS sensor. The XL Ultra performs dual 4K60 simultaneous outputs via any two of its many connection ports, which include BNC connectors with 12G- and 3G-SDI support, HDMI, USB-C, high-bandwidth NDI with SpeedHQ, and SFP+ with 12G-SDI and standard SFP. The camera features an AI tracking engine and integrates a 1GbE Adaptive Ethernet Port with PoE++ (Power over Ethernet) support.
The unit's next-gen AI tracking engine delivers natural, human-like camera motion. You control the speed, style, and sensitivity, whether tracking a speaker, performer, or panel.
Stream in NDI High-Bandwidth and NDI HX simultaneously, delivering pristine, full-quality broadcast feeds to production while sending bandwidth-friendly streams to remote contributors, backup systems, or live web platforms without compromise.
Use Full NDI for the PTZ, SRT or HDMI for the wide. Each lens can output independently, even over different protocols. The XL supports NDI 6.1 out of the box and is ready for 6.2 and beyond.
The XL offers a range of color profiles tuned to match the most common looks in professional production environments. Whether you're blending into multi-camera setups or keeping consistency with established workflows, these profiles ensure your images sit naturally alongside industry favorites.
Take full control of your BirdDog camera, all from an easy-to-use iPad/iPhone app. Pan, tilt, zoom, save, and recall preset PTZ positions, preview your cameras in full screen, and access all the color matrix tools and settings.
