The ExtendMM feature intelligently combines a primary Siklu EtherHaul millimeter-wave radio with a secondary radio operating on a different frequency (such as 5GHz, 11GHz, or 18GHz). Under normal conditions, your network benefits from the multi-gigabit speeds of the EtherHaul link. When a significant rain event causes the primary link's capacity to drop below a configured threshold, the ExtendMM solution automatically and seamlessly switches high-priority traffic to the secondary backup path in less than 50ms. This hitless transition ensures that latency-sensitive applications like voice and video are uninterrupted. Once the weather passes, the link automatically reverts to its maximum multi-gigabit speed.
