Kookaburra FamilyHand sculpted and painted porcelain kookaburra family huddled together on reclaimed wood. The kookaburras have been incised and hand painted with oxides, underglazes, and gloss glaze, and twice fired in a kiln to vitrification (i. e., no longer absorb moisture). To protect them from dust and the elements (if you decide to have them outside) they have been sealed with liquid quartz. The Kookaburras have been secured to a piece of reclaimed waxed wood.
