Cotton was involved in three major stages of the war: the build-up to D-Day, the creation of a back-up port at Ghent following the Battle of the Bulge, and the occupation of Germany and the rebuilding of the major port at Bremerhaven, Germany on the North Sea. This full-color, hardcover volume offers a personal account of the war as experienced by a Louisiana state senator and lawyer who enlists and sets off on an experience that like thousands of Americans, changed his life and that of his family.
