Der Filante SL erbt Formen, Linien und Renngeist vom Filante SLR, dem hochwertigen Aero-Rennrad von Wilier, das von Profis bei den wichtigsten World Tour-Wettbewerben genutzt wird. Den Vorteil der Veränderung macht die Anwendung weniger und einfacher technischer Lösungen aus. Die unterschiedliche Laminierung der Carbonfaser des Rahmens macht die Struktur weniger extrem und komfortabler als die SLR-Version. Und das bei einer Gewichtszunahme von weniger als 150 g bei gleicher Größe.
 
Der neue Filante SL übernimmt einige Merkmale des Wilier 0 SL, angefangen beim Lenker-Set. Hinter jeder Entscheidung, die zur Entstehung dieses Modells geführt hat, steht kein Rückschritt, sondern der Wunsch, nach vorne zu blicken, indem proprietäre Technologien mit Bedacht und Entschlossenheit weiterentwickelt werden, um ein noch breiteres Publikum zu erreichen.
