Mit Hilfe des Druckausgleichstanks fließt das Wasser leise und konstant, ohne zu pulsieren oder zu spritzen. Durch die Verringerung der Ein- und Ausschaltdauer, wird die Lebensdauer der Wasserpumpe verlängert und die Batterie des Fahrzeugs geschont. Bei geringer Wasserentnahme schaltet sich die Wasserpumpe nicht ein. Der Druckausgleichstank kann in beliebiger Position montiert werden. In der flexiblen Membran wird Luft unter konstantem Druck eingeschlossen. Mit Hilfe einer Fahrradpumpe kann der Luftdruck beliebig verstellt werden. Optimal ist es, wenn der Druck des Ausgleichgefäßes (1,2 bar voreingestellt) nahe dem Wiedereinschaltdruck der Wasserpumpe liegt. Der Druckausgleichstank benötigt keine eigene Stromversorgung und ist für alle Druckwasseranlagen geeignet.
